Message	draining the battery? I had one where the car would randomly shut off while driving. I knew it was the battery right away, but the dealer techs thought the alternator would pick it up. I knew that the alternator without a battery (ie capacitor / low pass filter) puts out fairly noisy and higher voltage spikes which cause the electronics to shut down to protect components. The owner of the vehicle went ahead and replaced the battery himself upon my recommendation and the problem went away. Needless to say, he went back to the Acura dealer and they reimbursed him for the battery he bought from them just 3 months prior. Seems like dealer techs are not trained that well these days.
